Davenport, Florida -- Williams baseball (1-2) lost two games against Bowdoin (7-4), 7-3 and 10-3. The doubleheader marked the start of the Ephs spring break trip to the RussMatt Invitational in central Florida.
Senior Nick Skiera started the first game on the mound, before being relieved by Jake Martin and James Murray. The Ephs scored two runs on a home run by freshman Will Scott in the fourth inning, and another when Mike Giove got out of a rundown after a ground ball to the Bowdoin third baseman.
Senior Eric Gage was the pitcher in the second game. Sophomore Teddy Massingham and senior JP Wong entered in relief. Henry Juan and James O'Connor both hit run-scoring doubles in the third inning, and freshman Marcus Burrell added another RBI on a bases loaded walk in the 6th.
The Ephs continue their trip tomorrow against Worcester State in a single game tomorrow tp be played in Auburndale, Florida..
