NEW ORLEANS, La. - After placing second overall out of 26 teams during the NCAA Division III Regional Championship Saturday, the No. 10-ranked Williams College men's cross country team placed seven student-athletes on the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region Team.

"The regional meet is a key moment in our season, so it is always good to see our team recognized as all-region performers," said head coach Dusty Lopez. "Our men's team ran a smart and disciplined race that resulted in all seven racers earning the award. That is not an easy accomplishment so congratulations to each of them."

Sophomore Eli Welch led the Ephs in the 8-kilometer race at the Ronald C. Hoffmann Cross Country Course in Canton, New York, as he finished eighth overall with a time of 25:21.6. Other All-Region honorees include senior Luke Zanuck (13th, 25:24.9), senior captain Rick Yanashita (21st, 25:38.2), senior Nikhil DeNatale (26th, 25:41.6), senior Ryan Hardiman (27th, 25:42.0), sophomore Keiyu Mamiya (33rd, 25:49.7) and sophomore Malcolm Oakes (34th, 25:53.3).
