Game Recap: Women's Ice Hockey |

Ephs score final three goals in 4-1 victory at Keene State

KEENE, N.H. - Senior Jaelyn Keiver and junior Celine Mayer finished with two goals and two assists, respectively, for the Williams College women's ice hockey team during a 4-1 victory at Keene State Sunday afternoon.

First-years Savana Littlewood (1 goal), Noa Diop (1 goal) and Becca White (1 assist) found their way onto the score sheet, while senior Lucie Bond (1 assist) and sophomore Charlotte Fetherston (1 assist) also contributed significantly to the win for the Ephs (3-1-2, 0-1-1 NESCAC). Sophomore goaltender Eva Bentley made her first collegiate start and stopped 13-of-14 shots by the Owls (4-4-0, 2-3-0 Little East Conference).

"I was really happy to see Eva get her first career start and win today," said head coach Meghan Gillis. "She has been a consummate teammate in our program. In addition, seeing Noa and Savana score their first collegiate goals and solidify the win was a great moment."

Keiver scored twice in the second period, including the game-winning tally, as the visitors took a 2-1 advantage into the third. Diop pushed the lead up to 3-1 2:15 into the final period, and then Littlewood tallied the team's first short-handed goal of the season with 3:19 on the clock to end the scoring.

Williams held a 60-14 advantage in shots on goal, while senior Chloe Noxon (8-2) and sophomore Skyler Moore (6-1) were outstanding in the faceoff circle.

The Ephs will compete at No. 6-ranked Plattsburgh State on Saturday at 3 p.m.
