Learfield Directors' Cup Standings
CLEVELAND - The Williams College Athletics department recorded an abundance of success during the 2025 fall semester, as the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) announced on Tuesday afternoon that the Ephs ranked No. 4 in the initial Learfield Directors' Cup 2025 fall standings.
The Ephs earned 343.50 points, while Tufts (485.00), Johns Hopkins (454.50) and Washington-St. Louis (358.50) placed first, second and third, respectively, in the standings. Five NESCAC schools were in the top 13, as Middlebury (307.50), Wesleyan (291.00) and Amherst (252.50) were 7th, 8th and 13th, respectively.
The final fall standings for Division I and III will be released after the Bowl Games, FCS Championship and Division III Football Championship in January. FCS and Division III football includes all scores except for the championships.
During the 2025 fall season, the women's cross country team placed first overall in all 10 races leading up a runner-up performance during the NCAA Championship. The unit placed first in the NESCAC Championship and NCAA Regional meets.
The men's cross country team placed second overall at the regional championship, while the field hockey and women's soccer teams earned at-large bids into the national tournament and advanced to the second round. The field hockey team reached the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive season, as the 2022 and 2024 teams advanced all the way to the Final Four.
The men's soccer team reached the Sweet 16 for the third time in the last four years and the football team opened the season by winning five of its first six games. The volleyball team went 19-8 overall, 7-3 in the NESCAC and grabbed an at-large berth into the NCAA Tournament.
