All-Sportsmanship Release
HADLEY, Mass. - The Williams College Athletics department continues to prioritize academic success, as a conference-best 190 Eph student-athletes earned 2026 NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team honors Wednesday morning.
To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing, and be in good standing in their sport with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 or equivalent on a 4.0 scale. Transfers must have completed one year of study at an institution. The cumulative GPA on record as of the end of the fall 2025 semester was used to determine eligibility for the honor. Senior goaltender Erin Pye (women's ice hockey) and junior Haochen Liu (men's swimming & diving) met the academic requirements to receive this honor, while also being named NESCAC Player of the Year and Diver of the Year in their respective sports.
Furthermore, Ben McGraw (men's basketball), Logan Coster (women's basketball), Trevor O'Brien (men's ice hockey), Jaelyn Keiver (women's ice hockey), Dylan Scott (men's squash), Alicia Chen (women's squash), Kevin Whitworth (men's swimming & diving) and Gracie O'Connell (women's swimming & diving) were named to the NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
The All-Sportsmanship Team recognizes student-athletes from each varsity sport who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to sportsmanship. These student-athletes exhibit respect for themselves, teammates, coaches, opponents and spectators. They display sportsmanship, not only as participants in their sport but also as spectators and in their everyday lives. Through their positive actions and example, these student-athletes inspire others to uphold the standards of sportsmanship endorsed by the NESCAC and the NCAA.
