Reflecting on the game Eph head coach Meghan Gillis remarked, "It was great to see that line of Jaelyn and Sophia Hoppe and Skyler [Moore] step up today and score both those goals for us." Looking ahead to the contests against #1 Middlebury and Bowdoin to finish NESCAC conference play, Coach Gillis emphasized the need to secure as many points as possible in order to make a playoff push.
Humble in the light of a great personal accomplishment, coach Gillis spoke to her career milestone: "All that matters is enjoying the time with the players and their families. Obviously it's fun to win, but that's not really what it's ultimately about. It's about trying to make people's lives better, make them better people, and have them go out in the world and do great things."
Coach Gillis is the winningest coach in program history and has been the head coach of the program for fourteen seasons. She has led the Ephs to two NESCAC championships, their first ever NCAA tournament win, and led the team to 21 wins in 2019, a program record.
Coach Gillis and company will look to continue their winning ways against #1 Middlebury College next weekend, with puck drop scheduled for Friday, February 14th at 7PM.
