GREENSBORO, NC — After another successful season and winning the 2025 Women's NESCAC Championship, the Ephwomen are back at the Greensboro Aquatic Center at the NCAA Division 3 Championships. The Ephwomen started off strong on day 1 featuring the 500 freestyle, 200 individual medley, 50 freestyle, and 400 medley relay.
Distance specialist
Lily Codd started off the night in the consolation final of the 500 freestyle. Codd touched 16th in a 5:00.37. In Clementine Robin's first championship final in the 500 freestyle, she swam a strong 4:56.18 to touch 8th. In the morning swims,
Abi Greenberg,
Carter Roebuck, and
Kyla Kelley also had strong swims touching 19th (4:58.90), 24th (5:00.40), and 29th (5:01.77) respectively.
Next was the consolation final of the 200 individual medley where
Charlotte Wishnack had a blazing back half to take 15th overall in a 2:05.14. Then,
Sophia Verkleeren stepped up on the block for her final 200 individual medley. Even with her goggles filling with water and stopping to fix them during the backstroke leg, she successfully defended her national title in the championship final, three-peating this event with a 1:59.93. In the morning session,
Alden White and
Ruby Groves placed 38th (2:07.17) and 41st (2:08.08) respectively.
Then, the Williams 400 medley relay competed in the championship final. Swimming in the outside lane of lane 1,
Clementine Robins started the relay off with the backstroke leg in a 55.61.
Charlotte Wishnack continued their momentum with the breaststroke leg in a 1:02.00. Coming off a NCAA title
Sophia Verkleeren swam the butterfly leg, swimming a best split time of 53.98.
Carter Roebuck closed out the race, swimming faster than this morning in a 50.44. They combined for a time of 3:42.03 finishing in 6th place.
The Ephwomen closed out a great night of swimming and diving sitting fourth in the team standings. Competition continues tomorrow at 10am with the 200 freestyle relay, 400 individual medley, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, and 1 meter diving.
