The Short Story:

The Ephs postseason run came to an end with a 4–0 loss to Eastern University in an NCAA Tournament elimination game. The defeat concluded a strong season for the team, which finished 27–14 overall and made their 12th NCAA appearance in he NCAA Tournament under head coach Kris Herman. The Ephs went 13–5 in NESCAC play and had four players earn All-NESCAC honors.

Coach's Thoughts:

Reflecting on the season, head coach Kris Herman said, "We fought hard all season.  We had more than our share of serious injuries and illness and were operating with a skeleton crew at the end. I'm proud of how we battled and were able to give ourselves a chance in NCAA play." Herman added, "This post season our bats just didn't come to play in the way we needed them to. Our pitching was really strong and aside from today's game our defense was also there whenever we needed it. At this point in the season you need all aspects of the game, however, and we weren't able to put all of the pieces together."
