WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Williams College women's squash team took its second victory in as many days, topping Dickinson College by a 7-2 score on Saturday afternoon at the Simon Squash Center.
The #20 Red Devils featured strong players at the top of their ladder, but the Ephs held an advantage in experience in the middle and back end of its lineup. Williams won 3-0 at positions 6 through 9, with Sophia Koehler at #6, Anika Kakarla at #7, Alicia Chen at #8 and Mahika Gupta at #9 each dropping fewer than seven points across their three games.
At #5, Roshni Pal won a gutsy five-game match, including a critical victory in the third game by a 15-13 tally before closing it out in the fifth by a comfortable 11-4 score. Rachel Miller at #4 and Frances Brooks at #3 each won 3-0.
Dickinson featured a pair of extremely strong players at 1 and 2, and Rhea Pandit (2) and Melanie Wang (1) each fought hard but could not quite break through in 3-0 losses.
The Ephs are now set for an exciting matchup on Sunday against Georgetown in a match that features the #14 Hoyas against the #15 Ephs. The match will take place at home with a start time of noon.
