AMHERST, MA. - The Williams College men's basketball team battled throughout but fell 61–45 to Amherst College on Wednesday night in a Little Three matchup at LeFrak Gymnasium.

With the result, the Ephs moved to 10–7 overall, while the Mammoths improved to 12–5 on the season.

The Ephs stayed within striking distance through the opening half, trailing 32–30 at the break, but Amherst pulled away in the second half outscoring Williams 29-15.

Aidan Yates led the Ephs with 14 points on 5-for-10 shooting from the field, connecting on a pair of three-pointers, and two made free throws. Yates added 11 rebounds to record his first double-double of the season.

Hudson Hansen matched Yates' scoring with 14 points of his own, going 4-for-6 from the floor while also converting 5-of-7 free throws.

Jackson Rein finished with 6 points, while Solomon Marshall added 3 points in limited minutes. Matt DeVine contributed 4 points off the bench, and EJ Sommers and Wes Gudeman with two points apiece.
