WATERVILLE, Maine - Sophomore
Zoe Rosenberg recorded one goal and one assist for the No. 12-ranked Williams College women's ice hockey team during a 2-0 victory at No. 10 Colby Friday evening.
Senior goaltender
Erin Pye earned her third shutout of the season, making 24 saves for the Ephs (11-1-3, 4-1-2 NESCAC). The Mules (10-3-0, 5-2-0 NESCAC) won 27-of-45 faceoffs.
The game was scoreless through the first two-and-a-half periods, and then Rosenberg found senior forward
Leah Rubinshteyn in the slot. Rubinshteyn ripped a shot, as senior forward
Jaelyn Keiver redirected the game-winning goal into the back of the net from just outside the crease.
The Mules pulled their goaltender for an extra attacker during the final two minutes, 25 seconds, of action. Junior
Celine Mayer and first-year
Savana Littlewood worked diligently in the defensive zone to clear the puck, and then Rosenberg registered the empty-net tally with 37 seconds on the scoreboard.
The Ephs will compete against Colby Saturday at 3 p.m. in Waterville, Maine.
