BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Williams College women's basketball team concluded its 2025-26 season with a 59–48 loss at No.8 Bowdoin College on Saturday afternoon in the NESCAC Semifinals at Morrell Gymnasium.
Williams finished the season with a 13–13 overall record. Meanwhile, No. 8 Bowdoin improved to 24-1 and advance to the NESCAC Championship.
Williams battled from the opening tip, keeping the contest competitive through the first quarter as both teams traded baskets. Bowdoin gradually built separation in the second period to take a 30-25 lead into halftime. The Polar Bears maintained their advantage in the second half, outscoring the Ephs 29-23.
Micah Walton led Williams with 21 points on 6-for-10 shooting from the field and 9-for-10 at the line.
Evelyn Walcott finished in double figures with 10 points and two rebounds, while
Logan Coster controlled the glass with a team-high 12 rebounds to go along with three points.
Kathleen Smith added four points and 10 rebounds, and
Hanorah Murphy contributed six points.
Tatum Leuenberger chipped in four points as the Ephs continued to compete on both ends of the floor throughout the afternoon.
As a team, Williams shot 34.1% from the field and 75.0 percent from the free-throw line. The Ephs collected 40 rebounds and forced 11 turnovers in the effort.
For Bowdoin, Grace Kinum led all scorers with 18 points, Carly Davey added 10 points, and Maria Belardi contributed 8.
