Game Recap: Women's Ice Hockey |

No. 8 Ephs fall, 3-0, at Connecticut College

NEW LONDON, Conn. - The No. 8-ranked Williams College women's ice hockey team competed at Connecticut College Friday evening and each unit fired 28 shots on goal, but the Camels were able to find the back of the net three times during a 3-0 triumph.

Emma Peterson scored 51 seconds into the first period for the Camels (7-10-2, 3-9-1 NESCAC), and then Ashley Engle scored in the second and added an empty-net tally in the third to seal the victory. The Ephs (13-2-4, 6-2-3 NESCAC) sit in fourth place in the NESCAC standings with 22.5 points.

Senior assistant captain Lucie Bond and sophomore forward Annie Gallagher put four shots on goal, respectively, for Williams. The Ephs won 24-of-37 faceoffs, as senior forward Chloe Noxon went 6-1 on draws.

The Ephs will compete at Connecticut College Saturday with puck drop set for 3 p.m.
