WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Senior captain Franny Donohue of the No. 25-ranked Williams College women's lacrosse team recorded three goals and two assists during a 9-6 triumph against Bowdoin Saturday afternoon at Farley-Lamb Field.

The Ephs (3-1, 2-1 NESCAC) held the Polar Bears (1-3, 0-3 NESCAC) to one goal in the second half, including shutting out Bowdoin during the third quarter, as Williams rallied from a 5-4 halftime deficit.

Senior captain Katy McCullough (3 goals), junior Ainsley Abel (2 goals) and junior Sydney Puntus (2 assists) were vital components to the victory. Sophomore goalie Charlotte Cote earned her first collegiate win, making a career-high nine saves. Senior Paige Nelson tallied a career-high nine caused turnovers, to go along with four draw controls, three ground balls and one goal.

Leading the way for Bowdoin were Grace Schorr (3 goals) and Grace Harvey (1 goal, 1 assist). The Polar Bears built a 5-3 lead with 2:44 remaining in the second quarter on a goal by Miya Imaeda, but McCullough's late goal in the second sent the hosts into halftime only down by one.

Donohue and Abel scored in the third quarter, giving Williams a 6-5 advantage heading into the fourth. Schorr evened the game at 6-6 with 12:29 left in the fourth, but then the Ephs scored the final three goals, including McCullough's game-winning tally with 8:36 on the scoreboard.
