Ephs host Little Three Championship

PITTSFIELD, Mass. - The Williams College men's crew team hosted the Little Three Championships Saturday against Wesleyan on Lake Onota. Sunny weather and many spectators made for a fun morning of racing, with the Ephs winning 2-of-5 events.

The first race of the day was the first varsity eight, where Wesleyan crossed the line first with a time of 6:20.69. Williams finished in 6:26.39.

The second varsity eight event followed. The Ephs won with a time of 6:24.02. The Cardinals clocked 6:26.79.

After was the third varsity eight race, where Wesleyan prevailed, finishing 6:30.66 compared to Williams' 6:35.23.

Next was the fourth varsity eight. Wesleyan crossed the line first, going 6:39.96. The Ephs clocked a time of 6:54.86.

The last race of the day for Williams was the men's four, where the Ephs defeated Wesleyan in a time of 7:44.99. The Wesleyan four finished with a time of 8:10.37.

After a full day of racing, head coach Marc Mandel had this to say, "It was a beautiful morning for racing on Onota Lake. I know our team anticipated Wesleyan would field a fast and deep team, and the Cardinals did not disappoint. On our end, there was much to take away from the racing both in terms of positives and things to adjust, and I am excited to see our crews continue developing over the next several weeks."
