AMHERST, Mass. - The No. 18-ranked Williams College men's tennis team went 3-0 in doubles action and first-year
Anthony Lim emerged victorious in singles and doubles competition during a 4-3 setback at Amherst Sunday afternoon.
The Ephs (9-4, 6-2 NESCAC) earned the one point in doubles action over the Mammoths (9-5, 5-3 NESCAC). Senior captains
Nicholas Chen and
Simon Volkema won, 6-3, at the top position. First-year
William Luke and sophomore
Carter Fayard posted a 6-4 victory at the second slot. During No. 3 doubles, Lim and sophomore
Robert Cooper Jr. earned a hard-fought 7-6 triumph.
In singles action, Lim (0-6, 6-3, 6-4) and sophomore
Jack Ling (7-6, 6-3) earned victories at the fourth and sixth positions, respectively. Lim and Ling have gone 8-4, respectively, in singles competition this semester.
The Ephs compete against No. 9 Bowdoin Saturday at noon in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
