NORTH ADAMS, MA
— The Williams College baseball team closed out its season in commanding fashion, defeating MCLA, 14–1, in the final game of the year at Joe Wolfe Field.
Williams wasted no time taking control, erupting for seven runs in the first inning, as
Oliver Rey and
Dave Mosrie each drove in runs after being hit by pitches with the bases loaded.
Will Scott added a sacrifice fly, and
Nate Rosner delivered a two-run single to highlight the big frame.
Andrew Rocha and
Ben Swank each added RBIs later in the inning, giving Williams a 7–0 lead after one.
Williams continued to apply pressure in the second, adding three more runs to extend the advantage to 10–0. Mosrie reached on an error that allowed a run to score, and Rocha followed with a two-run single to finish the inning.
The Ephs added on again in the third, as Scott came through with a two-run double to right center, bringing home Mosrie and Rey to push the lead to 12–0.
Williams tacked on two more runs in the fifth, as Rocha recorded his fourth RBI of the day with a sacrifice fly, and another run came across on a wild pitch to make it 14–0.
MCLA broke up the shutout in the fifth with a sacrifice fly, but the Ephs remained in control the rest of the way to secure the 14–1 win through eight innings.
Rocha led the Ephs at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a team-high four RBIs to pace the offense. Mosrie added a strong performance, finishing 2-for-4 while scoring four runs and driving in two. Scott contributed three RBIs, while Rosner tallied two RBIs and crossed the plate twice.
Lucas Brandt earned the win on the mound, tossing 5.0 strong innings while allowing just one run on five hits. He struck out six and walked only one.
The Ephs close out the 2026 season with a 12–20 overall record and a 4–8 mark in NESCAC play.
