Sadie Leonard Earns NFCA All-American Third Team Honors

Leonard has earned All-American honors four times during their illustrious collegiate career.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — For the fourth time in their collegiate career, senior captain and pitcher Sadie Leonard has been recognized as a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) NCAA Division III All-American, earning Third Team honors on Wednesday afternoon.

Leonard garnered NFCA All-American First Team laurels in 2024 and 2025 and Second Team recognition in 2023. The Tiburon, California, native is a four-time NFCA All-Region I First Team honoree, while also earning NESCAC Pitcher of the Year and All-Conference First Team accolades on four occasions, respectively. Furthermore, Leonard is a 12-time NESCAC Pitcher of the Week and was named the conference's Rookie of the Year in 2023.

This season, Leonard ranks first in the NESCAC in wins (15), strikeouts (231), complete games (14), shutouts (5) and innings pitched (135.2). They are first in the nation among Division III student-athletes in strikeouts per seven innings (11.9) and second in total strikeouts.

The 2026 Ephs (24-17, 11-7 NESCAC) won the Little Three, going 2-0 at Amherst on May 2 and 1-1 against Wesleyan on April 26 at Cole Field. From March 30-April 12, Williams embarked on an 11-game winning streak. Williams ranks second in the NESCAC with eight conference championships.

During the 2023 and 2024 seasons, Leonard powered the Ephs to NESCAC Championships and appearances in the NCAA Division III Tournament. The 2024 Ephs (26-13, 11-5 NESCAC) advanced to the Super Regional round after going 3-0 in the Regional Tournament at Husson University in Bangor, Maine. In 2023, Williams (24-17, 12-6 NESCAC) was runner-up during the Regional Tournament at Salisbury in Maryland.
