GLOUCESTER, Mass. — The 2025-26 Williams College men's ice hockey team committed itself in the classroom, as nine Ephs were named to the 10th annual American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA)/Krampade Division II-III All-American Scholar Team Wednesday afternoon.
This award recognizes student-athletes who compiled exceptional results in the classroom during the 2025-26 season. A total of 550 Division II-III men's ice hockey student-athletes earned this prestigious honor.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have compiled a minimum GPA of 3.75 for each semester and appeared in at least 40% of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured student-athletes and backup goalies. Institutions were also required to be members of the AHCA.
Junior
Brady Welsch earned a spot on the All-American Scholar Team for the third consecutive season. Seniors
Connor Berg,
Ziv Deener-Chodirker,
Jared Lambright and
Mel Mortarelli, along with sophomores
Grant Fuchsen and
Jake McManus, collected the accolade for the second time in their collegiate careers, respectively. First-years
Simon Gaul and
Jackson Krill made their debuts.
During the 2025-26 season, the Ephs won their first-ever NESCAC Championship in program history and qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2016. Prior to the loss at fifth-ranked Utica in the first round of the national tournament, the Ephs went 7-2 in their last nine games, including defeating Hamilton twice when the Continentals were ranked in the top-three nationally.
