KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After reaching the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division III Tournament for the third time in the last four years during the 2025 season, the Williams College men's soccer team earned a No. 10 ranking in the 2026 United Soccer Coaches preseason poll Tuesday afternoon.
The Ephs finished 10-5-4 overall and 5-3-2 in the NESCAC last year. The 2026 season begins with a noon conference game against Bates on Saturday, Sept. 5, at Cole Field in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
Rising junior
Chase Caires was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region I and NESCAC All-Conference Second Teams in 2025. Rising sophomore
JJ Ruehlemann was recognized as the conference's Rookie of the Year last fall.
Williams won the 1995 NCAA Championship, while earning national runner-up honors in 1993 and 2022. The Ephs rank second in the NESCAC with six all-time conference crowns, winning the title in four consecutive years from 2001-04.
