WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Williams enters the 2026 season looking to build off a strong season last year, that saw the Ephs finish as runners-up at both the NESCAC Championships and NCAA Mideast Regional before placing 14th at the NCAA Division III Championships.
The Ephs begin the season ranked 19th in the country in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association preseason poll, and 17
th in the D3 Glory Days Preseason Poll.
Williams opens up the season this weekend, on Sept. 5 at the annual Little Three Championships hosted by Wesleyan before traveling to Middlebury the following weekend.
Williams then returns home on Sept. 19 for the Purple Valley Classic, the program's only home competition of the season.
Both teams will compete in four regular-season meets this year before championship racing begins on Oct. 31 at the NESCAC Championships, hosted by Middlebury.
Leading the way for the Ephs is reigning NESCAC individual champion
Eli Welch, who returns for his junior season alongside fellow All-Region performers
Malcolm Oakes and
Keiyu Mamiya.
With a talented and experienced group returning, the Ephs will look to build upon last season's success and once again contend among the top teams in the region and beyond.
