Williams Claims Little Three Championship

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Williams College women's cross country team captured the annual Little Three Championship on Saturday, placing five runners across the line inside the top 10 to earn a team score of 22, defeating Wesleyan (43) and Amherst (69). 

Junior Kate Tuttle led the way for the Ephs, winning the individual 4K race in 14:49.7, followed closely by senior Jordan Liss-Riordan, who finished second with a time of 15:01.7.

Senior Tamar Byl crossed the line in fourth place with a time of 15:04.6, sophomore Estella Laird came in sixth (15:13.4), and junior Clara Gahm rounded out the top 10 in ninth with a time of 15:17.4.

"Overall it was a very strong return to competition, especially knowing that we had just one week of practice before the race," said head coach Dusty Lopez. "Wesleyan took a strong lead early on, but our women were very composed and took over during the second half of the race for an encouraging result."

The Ephs will visit Middlebury next weekend before the team's only home race of 2026 on Sept. 19, hosting the Purple Valley Classic at Mount Greylock Cross Country Loop.
