Marshall Creighton

Marshall Creighton has been a member of the Williams College Athletic Department since 2006 and a member of the Sports Performance team since 2010. After coaching college football for 14 years (10 of which at Williams), Creighton transitioned into his current role as year-round Sports Performance Coach in fall 2016.

He currently serves as the primary point-person for training men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf, men's and women's crew, men's basketball, field hockey, men's and women's nordic skiing, men's and women's cross country and men's and women's track & field. Creighton also serves as the liaison to the Sports Medicine staff. Creighton holds the following certifications; CSCS, USAW, FMS and OnBaseU.
 
Creighton is an active participant within the department, across campus and in the community. He has served on and participated in numerous department-wide committees and initiatives throughout his time. He has also served campus wide as a member of the Faculty Compensation Committee, Benefits Committee, Claiming Williams Steering Committee, Ad Hoc Committee on Housing and TeamEph First Days Orientation.

Additionally, he currently serves as a Board Member and Youth Coach for both Williamstown Cal Ripken Little League and Greylock Youth Basketball. A supportive colleague and loyal Eph, Creighton is heavily invested in all aspects of the college and community as a whole.
 
A 2002 graduate of Williams, Creighton began his football coaching career at Northeastern University during its 2002 Atlantic-10 Championship season. The following season, Creighton joined the staff at Tufts University where he worked on both sides of the ball over three years. While at Tufts, Creighton received a master's in educational studies.
 
During his football coaching tenure at Williams, Creighton coached several position groups and served as the Recruiting Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach. He has coached numerous all-league players, award winners and school-record holders.
 
As a player, Creighton was a member of three NESCAC Championship teams and two undefeated teams. He shared time as the starting quarterback in 2000 and started at cornerback in 2001. He was awarded the Dr. Edward Coughlin Award for overcoming adversity after his senior campaign. Creighton attended Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School in Bethesda, Maryland, where he was an all-league player and captain for the football, basketball and baseball teams.
 
Creighton and his wife, Liz (a former Ephs' basketball player), reside in Williamstown, Massachusetts, with their sons, Cole and Clay.
