Janea Bunn enters her second season as an Assistant Coach for the Williams College women's basketball team in 2023-24.
During her first year in 2022-23, the Ephs went 18-8 overall and 8-2 in the NESCAC, won one playoff game and reached the conference semifinals. Williams defeated two ranked opponents, outlasting then-No. 9/11 Trinity, 49-48, at Chandler Gymnasium on Feb. 3 and emerging victorious, 48-40, at then-No. 25 Bowdoin in Brunswick, Maine, on Jan. 14.
The Ephs won their final four NESCAC games and earned the second seed in the conference tournament, defeating seventh-seeded Bates, 62-55, in the quarterfinals on Feb. 18 at Chandler Gymnasium. Bunn helped coach Maddy Mandyck, who earned 2023 NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year honors and All-Conference First Team recognition.
Bunn graduated with a bachelor's in general studies from Southeasterm University, in Lakeland, Florida, in May 2021. During her collegiate basketball career, she was a two-time All-Conference First Team member and once was named Honorable Mention All-American.
