Men's Squash Falls to Princeton

WILLIAMSTOWN— The 11th ranked Williams Men's Squash team lost its third match in as many days, losing to third ranked Princeton University 9-0.

The Ephs were able to contend in many matches but were overwhelmed at the top of the lineup, as Will Morris, Will Gruner, and Jeremy Herrmann each lost in three games to some of the top players in college squash. Taylor Foehl and Alec Greaves-Tunnell battled hard for Wiliams at the five and six spots. Greaves-Tunnell lost in a tight four games to Nikhil Seth, while Foehl fought back after being down 2-0, eventually losing 11-7 in the fifth game. Julian Drobetsky was able to take a game off of Clay Blackiston at number seven and threatened for more. Ryan Eagan and Jared Zuckerman each played hard but fell in straight games at the eight and nine spots, respectively.

"I am very pleased with the team's performance today. We probably could have won a couple more games but there were some very close matches. The boys played well all weekend and we are really improving," said head coach Zafi Levy after the match.

The Ephs will resume matches after Winter Break starting with Yale at home on January 7 at 5:00 PM.
