PRINCETON – The women's squash team traveled to Princeton today to take on the one of the nation's top teams. The women had been training extremely hard the last few weeks, and were ready to see what they could do.
Although the Ephs fell 9-0 to the Tigers, they put up a great fight. Sophomore, Alyssa Northrop, and Junior, Alli Rubin, each fell just short to their opponents in an impressive 12-10 game. The women focused on keeping the rally going for as long as possible, ultimately improving their mental strength as well as their fitness.
Coach Zafi Levy commented, "The women played a good match today against a very strong team. It was definitely a learning experience. We look forward to our matches against UPenn and Trinity tomorrow."
Overall, the women were happy with their performance. They proved that their level of play is not too far off from one of the highest ranked teams in the country. They look forward to traveling to Philadelphia and Hartford to take on UPenn and Trinity tomorrow at 11 am and 7 pm, respectively.
