WILLIAMSTOWN-- The Williams Women's Tennis team finished their regular season Saturday with an 9-0 win over Bates.
The Ephs cruised through doubles play, as no pair lost more than three games in their pro-sets.
Williams was able to maintain momentum into singles play. Five of six players were able to secure straight set victories. Caroline Capute was the only exception, as her opponent was forced to retire due to injury.
"The girls played with great energy and good focus today. Doubles in particular got us off to a good start. I was also really pleased with how senior captain Katie Friedman played today to give us our final point for the shut out win", commented head coach Alison Swain.
Williams will begin NESCAC tournament play next weekend at Middlebury.
