Women's Squash Fall 9-0 To Princeton

WILLIAMSTOWN – Williams women's squash ends the weekend with a 9-0 loss against the 4^th ranked team in the nation, Princeton University. The Ephs put up a fight in their matches, but all ended in 3-0 losses for the Williams player. 

Highlights of the day included Ellie O'Neill (#3) and Laura Henry's (#2) matches. O'Neill came close to taking the first game off of her Princeton opponent, but ended up losing 11-9. Henry also had close games throughout her match, with the last two resulting in 11-8 defeats. 

"We faced tough competition this weekend," said senior co-captain Henry. "The ability of the team to give 100% in all four matches shows that everyone's hard work in training really pays off." 

The Sunday afternoon match versus Princeton concluded a long weekend of squash for the Ephs, who went 1-3 in their first matches at home. Considering the losses came against Trinity, Princeton, and Penn (numbers 3, 4, and 5 in the nation respectively), the women are still happy with the performances they produced against such strong teams.

"I thought the team played really well this weekend," added head coach Zafi Levy. "We played 3 of the strongest teams in the nation and preformed well. I was really pleased with our freshmen who are improving quickly and am looking forward to playing Harvard on Wednesday."

Williams will travel to Cambridge on Wednesday, December 5^th to play Harvard, the reigning national champions, in a 6 pm match.
