CLINTON-- The Williams women's tennis team collected two 9-0 wins at Hamilton, first over University of Rochester and then host Hamilton.
The three doubles pairs dropped only three games total in their prosets with Rochester, giving the Ephs a comfortable 3-0 lead at the end of the session.
Williams continued the strong play into singles, as each player won in straight sets. Five out of six Ephs won at least one set 6-0. Rebecca Curran won 6-1, 6-1, Alex Stone took her match 6-0, 6-0.
It was more of the same in the second match of the day, as Williams again dropped only three games in doubles play, and won each singles match in straight sets against Hamilton.
Next up for Williams is archrival and #1 Amherst at home on Saturday at 1:00PM. The two teams did not meet in the 2012 NCAA tournament, but had multiple tight matches over the course of last season, including the NESCAC championship match, which Amherst won.
