New London, CT.—The Ephs (4-4-1/NESCAC 1-3-1) took on the Connecticut College Camels (6-2/NESCAC 5-1) losing the game 1-0. Connecticut College's Jake Creus scored the only goal of the match. Rye Jaran won the ball for the Camels in the final third and played the ball to Creus. Creus took a touch and squeezed the ball past the inside of the post from 10 yards out.
The first 10 minutes of the game, the Ephs benefitted from their press and managed to rob Connecticut College of possession on several occasions.
In the 23rd minute, a long ball was played out from the Ephs backline which took a big bounce, forcing the Camels' keeper Sam Maidenberg to head it out into the path of
Dylan Kelemen. Kelemen flicked the ball towards goal, but the ball rolled wide of the frame.
Daniel Zhang put in a cross in the 26th minute which was flicked towards the back post by
Nick Boardman.
Will Felitto was there to meet the flick-on and volleyed the ball with his right foot but sent the shot over the crossbar.
In the 30th minute, Connecticut College's Rye Jaran opened space for himself at the top of the box and shot from 18 yards out, nicking the outside of the post.
In the 65th minute, Augie Djerdjaj put in a dangerous cross into the box. The ball was redirected towards one of the Camel forwards, but
Ben Diffley rushed out his goal to parry the ball out of bounds.
With 5 minutes remaining in the match,
Daniel Zhang played a short ball to
Felipe Gutierrez off a free kick. Gutierrez lofted the ball into the Camels' box and forced goalkeeper Sam Maidenberg to make a diving save.
