WILLIAMS GETS FIRST CONFERENCE WIN OVER COLBY

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA- Williams (3-6-1, NESCAC 1-5-1) scored three goals in the second half to secure their first conference win of the season over Colby College (3-4-2, NESCAC 0-4-2).

The first goal came at 50:53 off of a sensational play from freshman Tori Huang. While moving away, she powerfully struck the ball through the top left corner. From there, the flood gates opened with increased aggression from the Ephs the entire second half. This aggression resulted in a goal from sophomore Sam Phan in the 65th minute off of a broken play. Sophomore Tess Belnap continued to pressure the Colby Mules with dazzling dribbling that led to more scoring opportunities late. The Ephs had another shot on goal in the 70th and 71st minutes. The final breakthrough came at 87:34 where sophomore Shae Rashoff found the back of the net with a strong shot into the top right corner.

It was a stellar display of dominance from the Ephs offense, with 20 total shots to Colby's 2 and 9 corners to Colby's 1. The team fed off the home atmosphere on Senior Day. Eph head coach Sarah Raymond weighed in: "Really happy for the players to see some rewards after so much hard work this year. I think we have shown so much resilience to pick ourselves up and bring amazing energy and competitive fire to our practices this week, which led us into the weekend. It was also so wonderful to finally have all of our seniors healthy and bring their experience and leadership to the field today on Senior Day. A great team win!"

Williams College looks to grab another NESCAC win over Bowdoin College tomorrow at noon on Cole Field.
