HADLEY, MASS. – In a vote by the NESCAC men's ice hockey coaches Eph junior netminder
Evan Ruschil was named to the All-NESCAC Second Team. As a first year Rushchil was named the NESCAC Rookie of the Year.
This season Ruschil has started 13 games and logged 716.20 minutes in goal. He has a 7-5-0 record, which includes two shutouts. He has allowed 21 goals for a 1.62 goals against average. He has allowed only one power play goal this winter.
Ruschil has made 350 saves this season for a save percentage of .943, which is third best in all of NCAA DIII. Among active NCAA DIII goalies he ranks second with a career save percentage of .940.
"We're very fortunate to have three very strong goalies," noted Eph head coach
Bill Kangas. "Evan is a great teammate and one of our team leaders. He got us off to a great start this season with two 1-0 wins at Colby and Bowdoin. He is very deserving of this honor."
