Scores: Williams 5, St. Olaf 1

Location: Clermont, FL
Records: Williams 5-4, St. Olaf 3-8

The Short Story:  Williams jumped out to a 5-0 lead early in the game and never looked back as Elyse Chan pitched a complete game.

Coach's Take: "The team worked together and battled to win even without our A game this morning.  We look forward to three more games before heading back to Williamstown." - Kris Herman

How It Happened
  • Frosh Elyse Chan '25 pitched a complete game, giving up just one run on five hits for her first collegiate win.
  • The Ephs had just three hits but use two sac flies to help put runs on the board.
  • The return of senior Mara Kipnis to the line up was a welcome addition.  Kipnis had been injured in the first inning of the Ephs first game last weekend.
Inside the Box Score
  • Kayla Chang '25 ripped the first pitch of the game for triple that set the tone. Classmate Sydney Fleming knocked in one of two RBI on the day immediately following with a sacrifice fly.
  • Bailey Burger-Moore '23 had a two RBI double in the second inning to extend the lead to 5-0.
  • Kelly McGuigan '24 had two walks and scored two runs for the Ephs.
Next up for the Ephs - The Ephs play Augustana (IL) in the second game of the day.
