The Short Story:Â Ephs bats came alive to the tune of 36 hits in the doubleheader and
Madison Mok and
Elyse Chan each posted complete game wins in decisive victories on the road vs. Renssalear Polytechnic Institute.
Coach's Take: "We had a lot of great individual performances on both sides of the ball today and yet this was a true team win. We have six games in three days here to end our break, which requires each player to be at the best day after day. It's exciting to get things started again and we can't wait to get on Cole Field on Sunday."Â

How It Happened
- The Ephs jumped out to a three run lead in the first inning, scoring all three after two were out. After withstanding an Engineer answer in the bottom of the first the Ephs, Mok didn't give another run until the game was out of reach in the seventh.
- Twenty hits in the first game for Williams came against three RPI pitchers and the Ephs added 16 hits in game two.
- Left fielder Tayler Wise was the defensive star, making highlight catches in both games.
- Sydney Fleming remains solid behind the plate, backstopping both games.  She threw out attempted basestealers in each end of the doubleheader.
- In game two, Lou Haywood got a clutch hit in the top of the sixth to get the Ephs offense going. After a sac bunt, Anna DiChristina came around to score as the Ephs plated four runs in the inning.
Inside the Box Score
- Senior Mara Kipnis went 4-4 with a homerun and four RPI in game two.
- Ronni Ramos '24, Tayler Wise '24 and Aly Granados '23 combined for six hits and 4 RBI in the 7-8-9 spots in the order.
- All nine starters had at least one hit in game one.
