Box Score 2 Scores:
Game 1: Skidmore 8, Williams 4
Game 2: Skidmore 6, Wiliams 2
Location: Saratoga Springs, NY
Records:Â Williams 9-7; Skidmore 14-4
The Short Story: The Thoroughbreds flashed some great defense, had timely hitting and took advantage of Eph miscues to lead wire to wire on a cold and blustery day at Skidmore. Both teams hit well but Williams was unable to put together a consistent offensive attack, leaving ten runners on base in game one and never getting it going in game two.
Coach's Take: "This was not a good day for us. We had some good individual moments but were unable to have great success in any aspect of our game. Pitching, defense and offense all showed some good stretches and yet each facet of the game didn't pick up another as well as we needed to"Â
