Ephs Men's Golf tied for third after day one of the Williams Invitational


The Williams Men's golf team posted a score of 298 on Saturday afternoon to sit tied for third place heading into day two of the Williams Invitational at Taconic golf club. 

Senior Jay Callahan, sophomore Phillip Clifton, and first-year Will Rich all posted a score of 74 for the Ephs.

Ephs Coach Josh Hillman spoke highly of his team's resolve today, "Everyone played really solid today. Even playing at home, this course is always challenging and I thought we hung in really well today and put ourselves in a good position for tomorrow"

Rounding out the scores for the Ephs was first-year John Pagano with a solid 76.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute posted a score of 295 today to sit in solo first place. Nine teams sit within five shots of first place.

The Ephs will look to erase the three shot deficit tomorrow beginning at 9am.
