SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The Williams College men's golf team had another solid tournament, earning 6th place at the Skidmore Fall Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
The tournament featured two rounds on Saturday and one on Sunday, and the Ephs rode an excellent second round to finish strong in the 17-team field. The team finished at +26, just a few shots behind fourth place. Amherst won the event by five strokes over Trinity.
Jack Estrella and Nick Smith continued their excellent play, as Estrella finished in a tie for 7th overall at even par, and Smith was 9th overall at 1-over-par in the nearly 100-player field. The Ephs also had contributions from Hunter Justice, Owen Barber, and Peter Aznar-Klein.
Williams will conclude its fall season on Tuesday at the historic Ekwanok Country Club in Manchester, Vt., for the Ekwanok Sap Bucket Challenge, now in its 11th year. The Ephs will play against teams from Hamilton, Trinity, and Middlebury in the one-day event.
