Williamstown, MA – Trinity College (6-5-0, 3-2-0) took an early lead and added one more each period to down the Williams College Ephs (3-8-0, 2-5-0) by a score of 3-0.
Just three minutes into the contest, the Bantams would take advantage of an Eph turnover in front of the net and bury home the opening goal. Trinity seemed the more offensive of the two teams, controlling much of the possession; however, the Ephs would remain strong behind the puck and would exit the period down one.
Evan Ruschil continues to be solid in the Ephs' net, making 30 saves in the loss while his teammates blocked a season-high 22 shots.
The second period saw Williams begin to put the pressure back on Trinity, but the visitors would find the back of the net first. As the Ephs attempted to clear, a seeing-eye shot was fired back at the net and found the top corner to put Trinity up two.
The third period seemed to be much of the same for the Ephs, applying pressure on the Bantams defenseman but unable to get a clear-cut chance. After another failed clear in the Ephs' defensive zone, Trinity would once again capitalize and tucked home their third of the game. The remainder of the period was played in transition with neither team taking control of the puck, allowing Trinity to skate to a 3-0 win.
The Ephs will have a chance to end their losing skid as they host Wesleyan at 3:00 PM tomorrow.
