PHILADELPHIA, PA – On Day 2 of the National Championship Tournament, the Williams women's squash team faced off against Bowdoin for the 3
rd time this season, with their most recent matchup being last week in the NESCAC quarterfinals. The Ephs had won all the previous battles and today was no different. With a full team effort and wins from the top and bottom of the ladder, Williams secured a 6-3 victory.
The first point of the match was put on the board by #9
Isabel Kelly. After dropping the first game 11-9, the senior focused on pinning her opponent in the back to win 3-1. #1
Haley Jefferson downed her Polar Bear opponent in four games as well. She played smart, tactical squash to control the game. At the same time, #4
Amanda Solecki was in a battle. She traded games back and forth, winning the second and fourth. In the fifth, Bowdoin got the upper hand to take the fifth 11-9.

Quan Ng stepped to the court. She remained steady and skillful throughout a four-game battle to emerge victorious. On the court over, #6
Roshni Pal gave her all. She nearly missed winning the first game 15-13, and Bowdoin was able to continue their momentum for the next two games to give the Polar Bears their 2
nd win. #8
Mira Kamat had a key victory for the Ephs. Although she dropped the third and fourth games, she managed to reset to dominate the fifth and put up the 4
th point.
The final round began with the Ephs leading 4-2. #3
Theresa Kay secured the team victory in the most seamless victory of day. She used her skill to win in 3 straight games. #5
Deena Iqbal fought hard on middle court. She won the third 11-6 but fell 3-1. The day finished up with a 3-1 victory by #7
Nora Brant. She played two efficient games before dropping the third 14-12 and then resetting to win the fourth.
The Ephs will take on rival Amherst in the match for 13
