Rochester, NY – Four members of the Williams Women's Track and Field team, including
Camryn Taylor '24,
Molly Fitzgibbons '24,
Morgan Nasir '25, and
Ellie Fitzgerald '26, competed at the NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships this Thursday, May 25th and Friday, May 26th. The meet was held at the Polisseni Track in Rochester, New York, and the Ephs ran and jumped against the best athletes in their division.
First up on the track, in the 400m hurdles, Taylor placed 20th with a time of 1:03.86. Fitzgibbons ran the 3000m steeplechase, but unfortunately fell and was not able to complete the race.
Turning to the jumps, Nasir placed 17th in the long jump, achieving a mark of 5.49m. Fitzgerald placed 12th in the pole vault, making it over an impressive personal best height of 3.80m, which put her at #3 on the Williams All-Times Records List.
Overall, the competing Ephs showed tremendous grit and perseverance throughout these two days of competition. Since no women Ephs are competing on the last day of the meet on Saturday, May 27th, Friday marked the end of a successful 2023 Outdoor season for the team.
