La Crosse, Wis. — The Williams College track & field teams closed out competition on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships with an individual national title, multiple All-America performances, and a Top-10 team finish, as the women tied for seventh overall with 25 points.
The day began with the women's 1500m final, where Kate Tuttle continued her record-breaking postseason with a third place finish in a new school-record time of 4:19.77 to earn All-America honors.
On the men's side, Keiyu Mamiya placed 11th nationally in the 1500m, crossing the line in 3:52.45.
The highlight of the afternoon came in the women's 800m, where Annika Paluska captured the NCAA Division III national title in dominant fashion. The sophomore claimed victory in a school-record time of 2:06.87, securing her first individual national championship and earning First Team All-America honors.
In the men's 800m final, Zachary Liu-Walter turned in a strong performance to finish ninth overall in 1:50.12.
Williams closed the meet in the women's 5,000m, where the Ephs placed two runners inside the top 15 nationally. Morgan Eigel led the way with a ninth place finish in 16:43.81, while Tuttle doubled back from the 1500 meters to place 14th in 16:53.76.
Across three days of competition, the Ephs combined for an individual national title, multiple school records, and several All-America performances to cap a successful weekend on the national stage.
