WILLIAMSTOWN, MA -- For the last match of the weekend, the Williams Ephs played the Colby Mules ranked #25. After a weekend of tough wins, the Ephs prevailed with a 7-2 win with some strong matches.

The first round of matches was played by
Melanie Wang (#1),
Rhea Pandit (#5), and
Nora Brant (#7). Pandit and Brant dominated their opponents, swiftly beating them in three straight games. First Year Wang battled hard in a tough four game match, but eventually lost the match. With all close games, she stayed consistent and strong throughout the match.Â

Next up were
Deena Iqbal (#9),
Sophia Koehler (#2), and
Theresa Kay (#4). Sophomore Iqbal and Co-captain Kay won against their Colby opponents and finished their matches strong. Koehler won in an exciting and tight five-game battle with her opponent. She began and ended her match staying vigilant with quick volleys and tights drives, adding another purple point on the board.Â
The last round was played by
Naomi Jefferson-Sambanis (#8),
Rachel Miller (#3), and
Anika Kakarla (#6). Inspired by the wins before her, Kakarla fought hard throughout her match, not letting her opponent take control, eventually winning in three straight games. First Year Jefferson-Sambanis played with efficient movement and dominated her opponent in three games. First Year Miller hit quick volleys and precise drops, but her Mule opponent clinched the match in three games, giving Miller a tough battle on court.
After the match, Eph head coach
Hesham Aly commented "I think we ended this three match weekend on a strong note. Everyone was on top of their game, and we are excited to play Middlebury next weekend."

The Ephs will travel to the Middlebury Squash Courts to challenge the Panthers ranked #16 next Saturday at 3pm.Â
