Tony Lods also singled sharply to left, and later stole a base before entering the game to pitch.Â
The second game saw a match up between two NESCAC teams, as the Ephs took on the Mules of Colby, who scored first on a solo home run to left field. The Ephs responded with a two-run top of the fourth, as James O'Connor scored Kedar Veeraswamy on an RBI ground out, and Palma scored Brendan Stannard on a beautifully executed suicide squeeze. The Ephs added to their lead in the following inning, as Burrell doubled down the right field line and came in on a single by Henry Juan.Â
The Ephs could not hold onto the lead, however, and fell 15-5Â as the Mules hit four home runs and scored in bunches in the late innings.Â
