The Short Story: Fifteen strikeouts for
Sadie Leonard '26 and ten hits for the Ephs couldn't overcome a key error and the lack of timely hitting as Hamilton beat the Ephs 4-3 in walk off fashion in Saturday's game one of the doubleheader. Williams bounced back with intensity in game two to win 10-1 in five innings. The pitching was strong for both teams in game one and
Katie Blanch '27 was strong on the mound in game two, giving up just one earned run in five innings while the Ephs pounded out 13 hits to win by the 8 run-ahead rule.
Coach's Take: "There was a lot more good than bad today and we learned a lot. Twenty-three hits is a lot in two games, and just two earned runs in 12 innings should be good enough to win two games. There were a lot of great individual performances today and I'm excited for the future of this team. We will be back tomorrow to take on Tufts and look forward to the matchup. - Head Coach
Kris Herman
