CSC Men's Tennis Academic All-District Honors for Shawn Berdia, Andrew Chong, Matt Kandel & Simon Volkema

WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. -- Four members of Dan Greenberg's 2023- 2024 Williams men's tennis team that finished the year 16-7-1 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament have been accorded Academic All-District honors by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
 
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District and CSC Academic All-America honors the athlete must be at least a sophomore and possess a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 and perform well in competition.
 
The four Eph honorees include junior captains Shawn Bedia, Andrew Chong and Matt Kandel and sophomore Simon Volkema.
 
Kandel is also under consideration for Academic All-America honors which will be determined by a vote of the NCAA DIII Sports Information Directors in the near future.

Shawn Berdia: Singles 41-17; Doubles 46-23; ITA Cup National Doubles Semifinalist 2022

Andrew Chong: Singles 18-16; Doubles 18-9
 
Matt Kandel: Singles 58-17; Doubles 59-17. NCAA Singles 2nd Place 2023; ITA Cup National Doubles Champion
 
Simon Volkema: Singles 25-12; Doubles 29-14
