Ephs in 13th after day one of Williams Invitational

Williamstown, MA – The Williams Men's golf team finished in 13th place after day one of the Williams Fall invitational at Taconic Golf Club.

Sophomore Alex Moller was the low man of the day for the Ephs, finishing at 5-over par 76. Moller got it around well today on a difficult course set up at Taconic. Next for the Ephs were seniors Phillip Clifton and Ben Sapovits, carding a  6-over par 77 and 7-over par 78 respectively.

Rounding out the scoring for the Ephs was first-year Hunter Justice who finished his round at 9-over par 80. The Ephs sit in thirteenth place, seven shots out of the top 5.

Ephs head coach Josh Hillman commented after the round: "We definitely didn't have our best stuff today. It's frustrating for us here at home because we know we can play well here.
That being said, I think everybody is looking forward to coming out here again tomorrow and trying to move up the leaderboard."

The Ephs are back in action tomorrow at 9am.
