Estrella and Smith named to Division III Ping All-Region Team

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Williams College golfers Jack Estrella and Nick Smith were among 15 golfers named to the Division III Ping All-Region Team for Region 1. The honor was announced at Mission Resort + Inn in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida on Sunday evening, where Estrella, Smith, and the rest of the Williams team will compete this week in the Division III NCAA National Championship.

Estrella and Smith were also each named to the NESCAC All-Conference First Team last week, at the end of a season where the Ephs won their NESCAC-leading 14th conference championship and first since the 2016-17 season on April 24-26 at Fox Hopyard Golf Club in East Haddam, Connecticut.

Estrella, a sophomore, placed in the top-four overall during four tournaments in 2025-26, including earning runner-up honors with a three-round total of 216 (75-73-68) during the NESCAC Championship.

Smith earned medalist laurels at the NESCAC championship, scoring a 71-70-72-213. He also earned individual-champion honors during the Williams Fall Invitational on Sept. 20-21, recording a 75-65-72-212 score on Taconic Golf Club. He was named NESCAC Golfer of the Year and NESCAC Rookie of the Year, the first time a Williams golfer has earned both awards since 2004-05.
