Middletown, CT - The Williams College Ephs (6-4-0, 0-3-0 NESCAC) were defeated by the Wesleyan University Cardinals (6-6-0, 1-4-0 NESCAC) 1-0.

Game Recap
- The Ephs got the first power play opportunity of the evening about midway through the first period. The Ephs recorded a flurry of shots, with Jaelyn Keiver, Leah Rubinshteyn, and Lucie Bond all firing off quality shots on goal. The Cardinals held strong, and their penalty kill unit ensured the game remained at 0-0 (8:20).
- Around five minutes into the second period, the Cardinals went on their first power play of the night. The Ephs' penalty kill unit excelled, and the Cardinals were only able to get three shots off during the man-up advantage (5:26).
- The second period ended in consecutive power plays for the Cardinals, both of which the Ephs were able to stop.
- On their third power play of the night the Cardinals were able to capitalize, slipping one past Pye off of a rebound to capture the win (12:19).
Following the game, Eph head Coach Meghan Gillis remarked, "The league is so tough and we needed a better first period to set the tone for the game. We will look to be ready to compete right at puck drop tomorrow."
The Ephs will have a rematch against Wesleyan University tomorrow afternoon in Middletown, with puck drop scheduled for 3:00 PM.
