Ephs Down #17 Ranked Colby Mules 7-2

WATERVILLE, MA – Today the Ephs got on the bus to head up to a three match weekend in Maine. First up, the Ephs faced the Colby Mules, ranked #17, who they beat convincingly with a score of 7-2.

Christina Yen, Rachel Miller, Rhea Pandit, Theresa Kay, Amanda Solecki, Nora Brant, and Anika Kakarla all posted swift 3-0 wins against their Colby opponents. After a close 5-game match, Sophia Koehler lost to her opponent. Melanie Wang similarly fell to her Mule opponent in three close games. 

After the match, Eph head coach Hesham Aly commented, "We are looking for a solid showing this weekend heading into a bout of important matches over the next few weeks. The team is working to bring the energy against these lower ranked opponents to have strong momentum heading into our match against Middlebury this Wednesday". Tomorrow the Ephs face Bates College in the second match of the weekend. 

With the win the Ephs improved to 4-5 on the year and 2-0 in NESCAC.
