WATERVILLE, ME — Friday, the Williams Men's Squash Team drove up to Maine to take on the #20 ranked Colby Mules. The team won handily, winning 7-2. Eph head coach
Hesham Aly said, "Very happy with how everyone performed today. Had a long bus ride but everyone got off of it awake and ready to go."
Sophomore Nick Agger started off the first round of matches on the three court system for the Ephs. He dropped the first, and then battled back to win the next two games. Agger lost the fourth in a tiebreak, 10-12, but outlasted his opponent in the fifth to win 3-2. First-year Ty Green dispatched his opponent 3-0. Senior Pierce Henderson, faced a talented opponent and lost in three.
Next on court for the team was Alex Akbari, who continued to show his resilience, coming back from 9-1 down to get it back to 9-9 in the fifth. Unfortunately he just fell short, dealing with some unlucky calls, losing 11-9 in the final game.
